Background: The fundraisers at Mercy Health Foundation needed an updated story that would bring people together and easily explain how the new, merged organization would be successful.

Story:
No one can dispute that Mercy Health doctors, nurses, researchers and other health care providers are giving sick people tremendous care and compassion, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These teams are passionate about the work they do, truly living the Mercy mission and actively improving the health of our communities. But there are gaps in our current health care system and these dedicated individuals and the existing programs can only do so much. Our country offers systems and services that provide access to health care, but usually only provide enough resources to meet basic health care needs. Medical professionals can treat the body, sometimes only the symptoms, before those resources run out.
That’s where Mercy Health Foundation steps in. By filling those gaps, Mercy Health Foundation does the work of bringing life affirming health care, at the highest possible level, to all people. The programs, people, equipment and medical advances made possible by the Mercy Health Foundation are the living witnesses to the power of combining both advanced medicine and faith.
With the collective focus on the healing of body, mind and spirit, we holistically impact the existing and future health care needs in our communities. Through the generosity of donors, the Mercy Health Foundation is able to build new facilities, purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology, hire specialists who meet community-specific needs and support staff with advanced training on medical techniques and compassionate care that wouldn’t be available without the help of the Foundation.
